U.S. Highway 65: Pine Bluff to Lake Village – Arkansas (Older Sped-Up Version)

U.S. Highway 65 - Pine Bluff to Lake Village - Arkansas | Drive America

Join us for a high-speed look at an earlier filming of U.S. Highway 65 from Pine Bluff to Lake Village, Arkansas — shot before our full-length version and presented here in a compressed 21-minute, 31-second runtime. Compared to our newer, real-time drive (which runs 1 hour and 16 minutes), this legacy video clocks in at about 28% of the full trip’s length, offering a quick yet comprehensive visual snapshot of the 78-mile route through southeast Arkansas.

We begin heading east on U.S. 65 out of Pine Bluff, crossing the northern terminus of U.S. 425 almost immediately. The highway soon angles southeast near Glenlake and carries us through a series of rural communities including Moscow, Tamo, Grady, Varner, and Gould. The scenery in this stretch is quintessential Delta: expansive farmland, scattered timber tracts, and the occasional levee road cutting across the floodplain.

After passing through Dumas, where U.S. 165 intersects, we continue south through Pickens, Einchester, and Tillar before reaching McGehee. Here, U.S. 278 joins the alignment for the final stretch through the Lake Chicot region. We finish our journey in Lake Village at the intersection with U.S. 82, just west of Lake Chicot.

While newer footage offers real-time detail and updated visuals, this earlier version is perfect for a quicker ride-along or a nostalgic look back at our earlier production style.
