Let’s head north for a quick but scenic ride along Arkansas Highway 213, stretching just about 4 miles through the heart of Hattieville. Our journey kicks off at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 95, sitting just east of Hattieville proper. From here, we cruise westward, rolling into Hattieville itself—a small, quiet spot in Conway County where time seems to slow down and you can catch glimpses of classic rural Arkansas life.
As we drive into Hattieville, it’s hard not to notice the laid-back atmosphere and the wide-open spaces that define this part of the state. This stretch of AR-213 is pretty straightforward, but don’t let the short distance fool you—there’s plenty of character here. You’ll pass by a handful of local homes, family farms, and fields that stretch out toward the horizon. During spring and summer, keep an eye out for wildflowers popping up along the shoulders, and in the fall, the changing foliage adds a nice splash of color to the drive.
Just beyond the western edge of town, you’ll roll through peaceful countryside, with the gentle curves of AR-213 guiding you past open farmland and occasional stands of trees. There aren’t any major attractions along this particular segment, but that’s part of the charm—this is everyday Arkansas, unfiltered and unhurried. You’ll finish up the route at the junction with Arkansas Highway 247, just west of Hattieville, where you can either head north toward Macedonia or south toward Atkins, depending on your next destination.
If you’ve got a little extra time, consider exploring some of the connecting routes—AR-247 heads toward the Arkansas River Valley, offering more scenic rural landscapes, and AR-95 can take you south toward Morrilton and Petit Jean State Park, one of Arkansas’s must-see natural gems.
